国内産（香川県丸亀市周辺）の竹の骨を使用し、1本1本が職人さんの手により仕上げられた純国産品の手づくりうちわです。 丸亀市は江戸時代初期から続く、生産量や形の多様さなどを誇る日本一のうちわの産地です。
丸亀うちわは平成9年に、国の伝統的工芸品に指定されております。

The bamboo used is Madake bamboo from Kagawa Prefecture, and the paper is Japanese washi paper.
This is a purely domestic, handmade uchiwa fan, crafted using bamboo ribs sourced within Japan (from the vicinity of Marugame City, Kagawa Prefecture), each one finished by hand by skilled artisans. Marugame City has been Japan's foremost uchiwa
production centre since the early Edo period, renowned for its production volume and diversity of forms.
Marugame uchiwa was designated a National Traditional Craft in 1997.
