竹は香川県産の真竹を使用、紙は「純楮雲龍紙」を使用しています。
伝統工芸士（中田元司）作成
国内産（香川県丸亀市周辺）の竹の骨を使用し、1本1本が職人さんの手により仕上げられた純国産品の手づくりうちわです。 丸亀市は江戸時代初期から続く、生産量や形の多様さなどを誇る日本一のうちわの産地です。 製品に付けられた赤いマークは、香川県うちわ協同組合連合会が認定した、純国産品のうちわに付けられるものです。
丸亀うちわは平成9年に、国の伝統的工芸品に指定されております。

Emi Hoshi (Japanese painter)’s collection

The frame is made from a giant timber bamboo grown in Kagawa Prefecture. The leaves are made of “Unryu Washi” paper.

A Master of Traditional Crafts produces each fan using bamboo grown in the Marugame City region.
As the largest Japanese Uchiwa fan producer, it has been recognized for its production capacity and various designs since the Edo period. The red emblem on the package is a proof that the Uchiwa fan has been handmade in Japan, which is certified by the Kagawa Prefecture Uchiwa Cooperative Association. In 1997, Marugame Uchiwa fans were registered as Japanese Traditional Crafts by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
