竹は香川県産の真竹を使用、紙は「阿波和紙」を使用しています。
伝統工芸士が心を込めて仕上げたうちわです。丸亀市は江戸時代初期から続く、生産量や形の多様さなどを誇る日本一のうちわの産地です。 丸亀うちわは平成9年に、国の伝統的工芸品に指定されております。

<JAPAN BLUE> × A product of collaboration between traditional craft
This Uchiwa is made from a bamboo grown in Kagawa Prefecture and a paper made of "Awa Washi".
This is made by a traditional craftsman with all his heart. Marugame City, the largest Uchiwa-producting district in Japan, is famaus for its amount of production and variation of design since the Edo period. In 1997, Marugame Uchiwa were registered as Japanese Traditional Crafts by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
