職人の手によって丁寧に仕上げられたこのうちわは、丸亀市の豊かな伝統と熟練の技が反映されています。丸亀市は江戸時代からのうちわ生産の中心地として知られ、確かな品質を誇り、日本一の生産量を誇る地域です。この丸亀うちわはアートとしても楽しむことができ、平成9年には国の伝統的工芸品として認定されています。

With the largest output in Japan, Marugame has been celebrated for its exceptional quality since the Edo period, and in 1997, Marugame Uchiwa was officially recognized as a Japanese Traditional Craft by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
